Tampa Bay Women's Business Centre(WBC), is part of a national network of WBC's dedicated to helping  entrepreneurs to launch and grow their own businesses.Funded through the Federal office of Women's Business Ownership, our team of professionals help entrepreneurs with training and coaching in entrepreneurial readiness, business plan development, networking, strategic planning, finance preparedness, career transition and access to capital.From registering your business to hiring your first employee, we’re here to help you start and grow your local small business. Tampa Bay Women’s Business Centre is a WBC resource partner, funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Small Business Administration (SBA). The Office of Women’s Business Ownership’s mission is to establish and oversee a network of Women’s Business Centers (WBCs) throughout the United States and its territories. Through the management and technical assistance provided by the WBCs, entrepreneurs – especially women who are economically or socially disadvantaged – are offered comprehensive training and counseling on a vast array of topics to help clients start and grow their own businesses.It is currently the only WBC funded in part through a Cooperative Agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) on the West Coast of Florida serving the needs of start-ups and existing owned businesses in our area. This workshop is intended for business owners who what to understand their financing options and which option may be best for their business

The Centre for Women

Join us for this in-person workshop to learn about financing options for your small business. If you plan on seeking any kind of business financing, this workshop will address if you need capital and how it can assist your business as well as reviewing borrowing options. Also, we will discuss the Five "C"s of lending and how your personal credit score is essential to obtaining business financing.The event takes place at the Centre for Women, 305 South Hyde Park Ave., Tampa, FL 33606. Lunch will be provided. Free parking is available on the side streets or in the Hyde Park United Methodist Church parking lot on the corner of South Cedar Ave and West Azeele Street. If you are using a GPS, you can enter: Hyde Park Towers, 406 W Azeele St, Tampa, FL 33606 and the parking lot for the church is across the street. It is a large open parking lot. It is only a block away from the Centre for Women. Please follow the signs for the Tampa Bay WBC along S Cedar Ave and enter through the back of the Centre for Women building. *Reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities will be made if requested at least two weeks in advance. Presenters:Reena Ruwala, SBA Relationship Manager &amp; Elijah Felix, Tampa Central Store ManagerRob West, Community Development Manager/VPTD Bank

Reena Ruwala is a Commercial SBA Lender with TD Bank. TD Bank is the #1 in Florida in SBA Loans. Reena has over 20 years of successful and effective management experience in sales, underwriting, documentation, servicing and advising clients on Commercial Loans. Reena has held several Sales &amp; Management Roles with First Citizens &amp; PNC Bank in Retail and Commercial Banking. Reena has a wealth of knowledge and speaks over 6 South Asian Languages. Reena is a skilled SBA Business Development Officer with TD Bank &amp; provides excellent internal and external customer service that exceeds expectations.

Robert R. West, Jr. is the Community Development Manager of Central &amp; North Florida for TD Bank and has been in banking for 23 years. Before banking, Mr. West was in retail management for 5 years with big box stores and athletic retailers. Also, Mr. West has served as an adjunct business professor and has an interest in organizational learning, personal development, and diversity, equity &amp; inclusion (DEI). Mr. West specializes in consulting diverse communities on the lending opportunities for home ownership and small business &amp; commercial banking solutions. Veteran status includes serving in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve as a combat engineer and in the U.S. Marine Corps as a recruiter. Mr. West separated from the Marine Corps with the rank of Staff Sergeant (E-6).

Elijah Felix currently serves as the Store Manager for TD Bank located at 2307 W Kennedy Blvd where he is responsible for leading his team to serve the Downtown Tampa Market. Elijah joined TD Bank in January 2023 as he transitioned from NY to Tampa, Previously serving as a Market Manager for People's United Bank leading 7 offices in borough of Queens in New York City for 10 years. Elijah brings 18 years of banking experience to the Tampa community with a passion to serve, lead &amp; make a difference.
