We have curated a collective of proven teachers, facilitators, and spiritual directors to help guide your learning in mindfulness, contemplation, art and action. Click here to join today.</a> <h2>Embodied Shadow Work: Using the Enneagram and Somatics for Change</h2><h3>Domains: Mapping Tools, Contemplative Practice</h3>Note: This is a hybrid course offering which is open to both online and in-person particpants. Online particpants will join via Zoom and view the room through an Owl Confrence Camera for an immersive hybrid meeting experience. You will be asked at checkout whether you plan to participate via Zoom or in-person.Beneath the social mask we wear, we have a hidden shadow side we exile to our unconscious. We protect ourselves from difficult feelings and emotions by projecting our failings, weaknesses, undesirable feelings, insecurities and even our virtues onto others. The shadow holds enormous creative potential because it often guides our choices in love, work and friendship. Overcoming the shadow can also improve social realities.The Enneagram is a stellar personality system that helps us identify many core patterns of shadow projection.Yet, even when we bring the shadow and our Enneagram projections to our awareness, it's usually only a mental understanding! We tend to bulldoze past our shadow's signals when we step out of a class and back into our lives. We default to habitual responses under pressure because we have not integrated the heart and body center. Embodied shadow work helps us discover the physical cues and sensations that reveal our shadow energies. We learn how to unravel and integrate conditioned, automatic shadow reactions through somatic awareness, opening and practice.This class is experiential and includes dyads, meditation, panels and somatic practices. This is not a beginner class. Prerequisites:<ul><li>A working knowledge of the Enneagram</li><li>Know your Type</li></ul>To help you prepare, Leslie is offering her online Intro to the Enneagram Bundle for 50% off to registrants. Additionally, Niki Pappas– a certified Enneagram Narrative Practitioner– is also available for typing interviews to help you discover your type (also offered at a discounted rate for registrants).Leslie Hershberger is a leading teacher of the Enneagram and a skilled facilitator, consultant and spiritual guide whose work spans the U.S and Europe. She integrates the Enneagram, 3 centered contemplative practice and Integral Theory into her work. Her core work is supporting clients and teams in cultivating psychological awareness, relationship awareness and spiritual Presence. Leslie leads with Enneagram Social 7 and brings compassion, humor and insight into her facilitation of Enneagram panels. She's a fan of the work of The Hive and looks forward to exploring the instincts, emotions and the Enneagram with class participants. <h3>Covid Considerations for those joining in-person: Masks are currently optional at The Hive. Individuals may choose to wear a mask for personal protection, and as always, we ask anyone who is feeling sick or has a high temperature to not attend until they are recovered.
