The Carver Lions Club is a chartered club and part of Lions International.  We were chartered in 1973.The Carver Lions raise money and GIVE IT AWAY!  We provide college scholarships, eyeglasses for kids in need, donations to local families in need, and many other worthy causes!

Join the Carver Lions for a day of fun and raise money for local families in medical crisis.

Carver Riverside Park

This annual fundraiser supports local/area Carver families in medical crisis, and who are currently experiencing financial hardship. We raise money through our outdoor snow golf tournament, hat sales, food and beverage sales, private donations and day of raffles.Don't worry about the cold! We have a heated tent with tables and chairs and a bonfire to keep warm. You don't have to play to participate! Stop down for food and beverages and say hello to your friends and neighbors, and feel free to donate to a good cause.By clicking "Tickets" you can purchase a registration ticket (including commemorative hat) or choose to simply donate. You can also mail donations to: Carver Lions Soggy Bottom, PO Box 268, Carver MN 55315. Must be postmarked by Tuesday, January 23. Checks made to: Carver Lions. Recipient Zack BonnemaZack Bonnema is 31 years old, married to Barbie and has two young children. Zack has been with the Chaska Fire Department for nearly 14 years and is currently the Assistant Fire Chief. He is also a part of the Carver County Fire Academy and has trained fire department members across Carver County, including our own Carver Fire Department.In late November, Zack went in for a colonoscopy after having a few months of stomach pains and problems. What the family didn't expect was the news that afternoon. "So you definitely have cancer." Zack was diagnosed with colon cancer and has since had surgery to remove a part of his colon and lymph nodes.Zack is at stage 3b which is why chemo is necessary; because it is high risk, there is still a high chance cancer cells are in the body even though they removed the tumor and lymph nodes. So with that, Zack will start a six month chemo treatment as part of his treatment plan. Zack will have 12 treatments bi-weekly for 6 months. After each IV treatment in the clinic, he will have a 48 hour drip at home.Event Coordinator Note: Zack is someone used to taking care of others and making sure our communities, our homes, and our residents are safe. Now having others returning this help by supporting him, has been a new and difficult experience. He is grateful and humbled by the community's support.
