Join us for our quarterly chapter meeting at Esperanza Eating Disorders Center to earn continuing education credit. Speaker Esther Hooley, PhD will present:"Sexuality Considerations in Eating Disorder Treatment"This workshop will offer an overview of sexuality considerations in the etiology andtreatment of eating concerns. It will also involve practical tools to help cliniciansassess for sexual concerns/considerations in client care. This workshop will helpparticipants feel more empowered to assess sexual concerns in an inclusive andhonoring manner.Objectives for this workshop: 1) Name at least three ways in which eating disorders and sexuality areconnected.2) Explain the link between ED and Gender Dysphoria.3) Identify clinician biases related to sexuality.4) Assess and respond to client sexuality concerns1 CE hour available pending approval by: iaedp FoundaEsther Hooley, PhD Esther has been a therapist for over a decade and is currently a Licensed Psychologist in Texas. She completed her doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology at Andrews University and completed her doctoral internship at Baylor University Counseling Center. For years, Esther considered herself a generalist, working with any issue that showed up in the counseling space. More recently, she has developed a passion for working with sexual concerns, eating disorders, trauma, and spiritual concerns.The International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 5912.
