Hatch Makerspace, affectionately called Hatch, is a workshop space stocked with tools, materials, and expertise so that community members can learn and create their own do-it-yourself projects. An initiative of the Watertown Free Public Library, Hatch Makerspace is always free to use and open to everyone.

Make mittens to fit your hand size using upcycled wool and scrap fabric.

* This workshop is part of our Sustainability Series *Aren’t warm hands in winter one of your favorite things? We will sew these mittens from donated wool fabric and/or recycled and felted wool knits with a lining of your choice – fleece, cotton flannel, or other repurposed fabric. We’ll finish the cuff with a snappy button or other decorative element. Let the snow fly! This class is recommended for a confident beginner or intermediate sewist. ----------All materials and tools are provided.This workshop is for adults and older children ages 12+. Children ages 12-17 may attend on their own as long as their parent or legal guardian cosigns Hatch's waiver form in person.Registration is required.This workshop starts on time. If you arrive late, your spot may be given to someone on the waitlist.
