Join us this fall for the Residential Rental Edition of our Homeowners Series focusing on converting one and two-family homes into residential rentals. We will also introduce the option of adding an Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) to your main dwelling. Heard of ADUs? They are secondary dwelling units that are subordinate to a primary dwelling unit. Join us to learn more about how an ADU can be a part of the same structure as the primary dwelling unit or a detached dwelling unit on the same lot. These workshops will assist you in preparing for home conversion projects and the process of compliance. Our second workshop, the series, will focus on Building Codes &amp; Your Safety. In this session, DCRA will train attendees on the applicable codes for converting one and two-family homes into residential rental units. We will also discuss how to maintain rental units and stay in compliance with the District’s Housing Code Standards. We strongly encourage homeowners to attend all scheduled workshops, to take advantage of our agency’s training opportunities and one-on-one time with the experts.
