What is the format of the event?

The Lyceum usually is divided into two parts. In the first we hear from a small panel of guests to get us considering various perspectives. In the second part, we'll sit down and chat with our friends and neighbors - discussion will be gently guided by a  facilitator following the 6 Habits.

Why is there a registration fee?

The Lyceum Movement is a not-for-profit - registration fees help us cover event costs like space rental and beverages.

What are the 6 Habits of Good Conversation?

Read our neighbor’s words in the best light. Talk for the sake of truth and understanding, not victory. See ourselves as on the same team, even with those who disagree. Acknowledge what we don’t yet know. Talk for the sake of building up community. Look for something to love in every person.

Which side are you affiliated with?

The Lyceum Movement seeks to foster conversation around the deeper topics of living beyond contemporary policy discourse. There are no sides and people from all backgrounds are encouraged to join the conversation with our friends and neighbors.
