Pilot Butte Middle School

Join us from 5:30-8pm on Thursday, March 7 at Pilot Butte Middle School for a free dinner and internet safety training. Dinner begins at 5:30pm. Training begins at 6pm. Who is this event for?This dinner and training is for parents or other caregivers of Bend-La Pine Schools students in grades 4-10. This training is intended for adults. Adults should use their discretion on whether to bring their teenager (13+). Children (3-12) will not be allowed due to the discussion of sensitive topics. What is the training?The training is <a href="http://www.smartcyberchoices.org/" title="http://www.smartcyberchoices.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">SafetyNet</a>: Smart Cyber Choices®, which will be provided by <a href="https://www.kidscenter.org/about" title="https://www.kidscenter.org/about" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">KIDS Center</a>.You'll learn:<ul><li>How technology can be used in a safe, positive, and ethnical way</li><li>Tools you can use to safely manage online lives for both adults and children</li></ul>The training covers internet safety, social media threats, cyberbullying, responsible parenting, identity theft, and hackers and scammers.
