We are a partnership committed to studying, restoring, and promoting our mountain parks & preserves. The Central Arizona Conservation Alliance (CAZCA) works to ensure the recreational and ecological sustainability of the mountain parks and preserve system in Maricopa County, AZ.The Alliance unites a network of more than 60 partners that include land managers, scientists, educators, community members, and conservation-based non-profit organizations to coordinate a wide range of activities and programs focused on research, restoration,community engagementand promotion of our natural, open spaces.

Buffelgrass is an invasive grass is a huge threat to our native ecosystems, help us remove this plant from our desert parks and preserves!

Piestewa Peak Park

Join us for this #BuffelgrassBlues Pulling Day at Piestewa Peak. We will be removing buffelgrass from the park to beat back the blues! Participate in this new exciting citizen science project and make an impact in our parks and preserves.Bring your water bottle, don't forget to wear sunscreen and appropriate clothing! We'll have water and light snacks, tools and other equipment. If can bring gloves you prefer to wear but we'll have some extras as well. Parking Instructions:Parking for this event is best at or near Hopi Ramada at Piestewa Peak. Upon entering the park from Lincoln Dr continue to drive towards the back. You will pass Hopi Ramada to your left, there is a small parking area there.
