Anomaly - The Rochester Genre Film Festival is holding its inaugural festival Friday, November 8 through Sunday, November 10, 2019 at the Cinema Theatre in downtown Rochester, NY. Dedicated to showcasing independent genre films — including, horror, science fiction, fantasy, action, and more — from around the world, the festival hopes to broaden audience minds and awaken forgotten demons.

<p>On Christmas day 1987, Ralph receives the totally rad gift of a VHS camcorder and just like any red-blooded American child, he’s eager to test out his new toy. What we see next combines Ralph filmed adventures with his best friend, random clips he tapes from late-night television, and because he’s recording it all over his parents’ wedding video, snippets of his mom and dad in happier times.</p><p>A pop-culture fantasia for fans of Adult Swim and late night channel surfing fiends, VHYes is an analog exploration into the mind of a child, a late-night 80’s television mixtape, and a bizarre mashup of what happens when the two collide.</p>
