The process is easily remembered by the acronym, RAMP: recognize hazards, assess the risks from these hazards, minimize the risks, and prepare for emergencies. This seemingly simple concept is transforming the way we think about safety, not only in the laboratory, but also in outreach activities and in our personal lives.</p><p>This presentation will offer some tools and resources that can change a rigid, rule-based safety culture to one of an empowering, risk-based safety culture. It will also highlight the empowering, student-led, laboratory safety team (LST) movement and the recent ACS Presidential LST Summit.</p><p><strong><strong>Don’t be left behind.
