Seeds of Caring

Children will select gently used and/or new toys for families that are clients of The Open Shelter!

Who this Anywhere Project is for: Ages 2 to 12. Not sure if this project is the right fit for your kids? Email us with questions at Programs@seedsofcaring.org.What you'll be doing:Every child should experience the joy of having presents to open at the holidays. Help loving families bring this joy to their children by donating 5 of your best gently used toys or purchasing new ones. Toys will be distributed by<a href="https://theopenshelter.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> The Open Shelter</a> during their annual Holiday Shop.When you'll be doing it:This Anywhere Project can be done at home, school, or wherever you are!This project is on-going. Families and groups may participate anytime until the project ends on December 10th. Donations may be contact-free, porch-dropped from 9am - 7pm December 8th-10th at a Seeds of Caring ambassador’s home in Dublin, Worthington, Powell or Reynoldsburg. Addresses are provided in the service packet.How it all works:Once you have completed registration, you will receive a confirmation email from Eventbrite with a link to your service packet. This packet includes project instructions, guided discussions and more. This project's guided discussion focuses on poverty.Approximate Cost:Free. Choose 5 of your best gently used toys or purchase new ones. For the cheer card, use craft supplies on hand or the printable template provided in the service packet.Why you'll be invited to donate:Every time we're able to design, coordinate, and offer an opportunity for kids to give back, it's with the help of supporters like you.
