Join us for an business planning workshop that includes guidance in creating a business plan and time for you to begin creating your plan.

SDSU Extension Pierre Regional Center

<p>Join us for an exciting in-person event at the SDSU Extension Pierre Regional Center in Pierre, SD, USA. This Business Planning Workshop is funded by the SCBG 2022 which aims to increase educational opportunities for producers. Areas of focus will include developing a business plan, with time dedicated to going through the steps. The workshop will include presenters from the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and the Value Added Agriculture Development Center (VAADC). After the workshop you can have a business plan draft with all components needed to speak with lenders including marketing and finances. Educational resources will be provided. Feel free to bring a laptop or notebook. Lunch will not be provided.</p>

Agenda

Sessions on legal structure of business, permits, business overviews, management, and the market for your business. Each session will be followed by individual work time.

Management and Market 

Lunch

The afternoon will focus on the finance portion of your business plan, including individual work time.

Finances 

This time is for questions and additional work time with the help of presenters from the SBDC and VAADC.
