Roc-A-Natural﻿ Cultural Foundation Inc  is dedicated to educating, empowering, and inspiring communities in the areas of health, arts, and culture.As an avid Staten Island community and cultural advocate, Dorcas Meyers, has partnered with the JCC Beacon Program at I.S. 49 and other prominent local organizations to educate and empower, through annual Black History and Kwanzaa programs which were inaugurated in 2018 INCLUDING: “Taking It To The Streets: Free Friday Night Films”, July 2020 with Secta 5 Productions and First Central Baptist Church; Juneteenth Re-enactment, June 2021 with local artists; Black Lighthouse Keepers and Life Saving Service members, February 2022 with the National Lighthouse Museum and Staten Island Black Heritage; Juneteenth Freedom Parade, June 2022 with Friends Who Think Pink and Universal Temple of the Arts in collaboration with the Jubilee Collective; “Taking It To The Streets Back-To-School Film & Festival at Empire Outlets”, September 2022, Kwanzaa Celebration:  7 Days 7 Principles 7 Communities December 26, 2022 through January 1, 2023 with Janet G. Robinson aka "The Kwanzaa Lady and Gregory Taylor, Alkebulan Consciousness Rising and are growing from strength to strength.

<p>Chess is a proven learning tool that will assist with the development of critical thinking, cognitive thinking, concentration, logical thinking, memory, endurance, self-discipline, and everyday life skills like self-confidence, patience, self-development, problem solving, decision making and thinking things through thoroughly before reacting. “Don’t move until you see it.”</p>

<p>Additional activities  include, Music by DJ King Tut, Drumming Circle by Gregory Taylor, Zumba with Lane by Body Sculpt NYC, Martial Arts Demo by Jerraine Williams, games for children of all ages by NYC Parks Playmobile and Jumpn 4 Joy,  Face painting by Bert, Arts, Open Mic, vendors and more!</p>
