Development Perspectives is delighted to invite you to participate in our latest project for secondary schools: Water Wise Explorers!

Development Perspectives

The project will empower schools (within the catchment area of the River Boyne and River Nanny) to explore and engage with all things sustainable development! Teachers and students involved will have the opportunity to develop invaluable skills and to take meaningful action towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with special emphasis on SDG 6 Clean Water and Sanitation. Teachers and students will participate in workshops, citizen science (testing the quality of the water) and a biodiversity kayaking trip.T﻿he first training will:<ul><li>﻿ Clearly outline the project</li><li>Explore Education for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals</li><li>Take an in-depth look at SDG 6 Clean Water and Sanitation</li><li>E﻿nsure teachers have access to a range of resources</li></ul>The project is completely free for teachers and students to participate in. This is in thanks to the grant we received from the Department of Education.
