Join or Die is a 99-minute, 2023 documentary that spotlights Robert Putnam, author of “Bowling Alone,” and his finding that America’s divisions today are rooted in the decline of our social capital as fewer Americans join clubs and organizations. Putnam says that joining clubs is key to our physical health, our personal happiness, and to halting America’s civic unravelling. However, anyone familiar with the book &quot;Bowling Alone&quot; will easily be able to participate in the Oct. 18 Braver Angels discussion without having seen the movie. We&#x27;ll host a standard Braver Angels discussion of the film on October 18 at 8 pm ET.
