Hartford Advisory Commission on Food Policy

Hartford Advisory Commission on Food Policy invites you to celebrate people working to ensure good food for everyone in Hartford!

Fire by Forge

Join us Wednesday, November 15 at 5:30 PM at Fire by Forge to celebrate this year's Hartford Good Food Awardees!Every year, the Hartford Advisory Commission on Food Policy presents awards to food and farm-oriented community members and organizations. These awards are proudly presented in recognition that healthy food, plentiful community gardens, thriving food businesses, and more are important parts of our city and that food helps build community! The purpose of the Hartford Good Food Awards (previously Feeding Hartford Awards / Community Food Security Awards) is to celebrate people creating an equitable, sustainable food system for Hartford. By uplifting this work, we reassert the value of an interconnected food system in Hartford that ensures access to fresh, culturally relevant, locally produced food and supports sustainable agriculture and food businesses throughout the city. We celebrate people and organizations throughout Hartford who are helping end hunger, teaching about growing and eating food, growing more food in Hartford, employing people in good food jobs, and making sure all of us get the food we want and need: healthy, local, culturally relevant, high quality, and tasty food.Hartford Food System, Inc. is proud to provide administrative support for the City of Hartford Advisory Commission on Food Policy. This event is made possible in part by Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.
