The Honor Winds in Concert - Middle School and High School

Established in 2018 to usher the Las Vegas community into a new era of music and culture, the Making Music Matter Foundation stewards the Desert Winds, Chambers, Honor Winds, and Camp Reimagined. Learn more about each ensemble below.The Making Music Matter Foundation is a recognized 501(c)3 corporation in Nevada. Any contribution you make is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by the IRS.

By invitation, Middle School and High School wind and percussion students from many schools in the Las Vegas area come together to rehearse and perform as the solidify friendships and learn from each other and their conductors and mentors.

Making Music Matter Foundation's 2023-2024 Events

Making Music Matter Foundation sponsors great music performances and Music Education events.  We sponsor The Desert Winds, The Honor Winds, Chambers performances and Camp Reimagined.  Our 2023 - 2024 Season includes mesmerizing music and education!

<p>By invitation, middle school winds and percussion players from across the valley come together to create musical art. The Honor Winds provides yearlong music education programs that include master classes, leadership training, and performance opportunities that serve to improve our entire music education community.  Under the leadership of Ms. Monica Guido, Mr. David Martinez, and Dr. Charles Maguire, these students enjoy approximately 6 hours of rehearsals and then put on this fabulous concert!
