Please join us for an interactive conversation with Terry La Rue on his exhibition, Frames Between the Pain. Take a closer look and explore a deeper understanding of Terry's vision.Terry La Rue is a Seattle-based photographer and printmaker who has turned to the camera to confront and externalize the struggles that come with a life of excruciating pain and the side effects that follow. He lives with a rare condition, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, that continues to challenge his physical and mental health. Constantly searching for a moment to capture his internal landscapes and externalize them in print.The series Frames Between the Pain is pulled from Terry La Rue’s print archives. Putting together a touching and surreal photographic series. His pictures, taken at times using interesting techniques and hand-made printing speak of themes such as pain, despair, and fear, while time and again offering a glimmer of hope.Frames Between the Pain will be on view at Leica Store Bellevue from October 21st - January 13th, 2024.
