Join the Conversation on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in La Crosse County

La Crosse County is set to host a series of discussions focused on the themes of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). These community dialogues, scheduled to occur via Zoom, will be managed and led by Chanin Kelly-Rae, an experienced consultant with a specialized focus in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging.In a collaborative effort to enhance the inclusivity and fairness of its practices and policies, La Crosse County has teamed up with Ms. Kelly-Rae to perform a comprehensive equity gap analysis. The findings from this evaluation will be utilized to develop a detailed 5-year roadmap. This strategic plan is designed to nurture and strengthen the diverse communities within La Crosse County, and aims to establish more inclusive and equitable policies that will have a significant positive impact on the residents and staff.A crucial part of this process is the active involvement of community members through DEI-centered dialogues. These conversations serve as an opportunity for the residents of La Crosse County to voice their opinions and share their experiences.The community is warmly encouraged to contribute their thoughts on how La Crosse County can develop into a region where every individual feels safe, respected, and a sense of belonging. The feedback garnered from these sessions will directly shape the county&#x27;s various policies, programs, and practices, and will play a significant role in influencing the overall cultural dynamics of the county. This inclusive approach ensures that the development and execution of future policies are truly reflective of the community&#x27;s needs and aspirations.
