This is the 18 Hr. Class required to apply for a concealed carry permit in New York State.

Our instructors are NRA Certified. Get started today, register for the required course with a professional, experienced team. This course deals primarily with two types of pistols in most common use today: the revolver and the semi-automatic.As per NY law concealed carry firearm safety training must include 16 hours of in-person live classroom instruction and 2 hours of live fire. The course is conducted over two days. Each day runs from 8:00AM to 5:00PM.Topics include:<ul><li> Firearms safety and safe handling practices</li><li> Firearm and ammunition function and operation</li><li> Cleaning and maintenance</li><li> Range safety</li><li> Holster and accessory considerations</li><li> Concealed carry considerations</li><li> Safe storage and transportation requirements</li><li> State and federal gun laws</li><li> Situational awareness and concealed carry</li><li> Conflict de-escalation and management</li><li> Effects of drugs and alcohol</li><li> Proper interaction with law enforcement</li><li> Sensitive and Restricted areas</li><li> Use of deadly force and duty to retreat / NY Article 35</li><li> Suicide prevention / recognizing the signs</li><li> Principles of marksmanship</li><li> Fundamentals of shooting</li><li> Dry fire and live fire exercises (firearm, ammunition, eye and ear protection will be provided)</li><li> Written test</li></ul>WHAT TO BRING:<ul><li> Notebook, pen</li><li> Lunch / snacks / beverages to last the day</li><li> Comfortable footwear</li><li> Open minded, attentive attitude</li><li> Cash balance of class fee ($200 due at class) </li></ul>In the event you need to cancel your reservation:This class requires advance preparation and acquisition of various materials for each registered student.
