SheSays Cape Town

The next SheSays Cape Town event where we talk about laying down the right foundations to build a change-making career.

Haggie Hall, St Cyprian's School

The government's theme for Women’s Month this year was ‘Accelerating Socio-Economic Opportunities for Women’s Empowerment’ and with good cause. Not only does the gender pay gap continue, but unemployment numbers for women remain higher than the national average. So how can women overcome the statistics and lead a thriving career with stability, growth and purpose? The SheSays Cape Town team believes it comes down to laying down the right career foundations to build a change-making career, no matter what industry that might be in, or what direction it might take. Because the foundations for a great career start right at the beginning (and can be built on throughout your life!), we’re excited to be hosted by St Cyprian’s School for Girls and to have their Grade 10, 11 and 12 girls join us! This next event is all about inspiring and guiding women of all ages and backgrounds, whether you’re in the beginning, the middle or travelling a winding career path. We’ve invited an esteemed panel of women who have all had exciting (and sometimes winding) career journeys built on solid foundations and a good dose of hard work:- Ellen Fischat, Co-Founder at Inspiring African Women NPC, Founder at Story Room, and InspiringFifty SA Ambassador- Vuyo Henda, Chief Marketing Office at Spur- Noxolo Mafu, Brand Activation Manager at Adidas- Elsa Pallett, Head of Marketing at Amazi SHETribe and founder of The Mix Agency Stick around after the discussion for drinks and snacks and a touch of networking with the SheSays community and student guests.
