The Working Group on Girls (WGG) is a coalition of over 80 national and international non-governmental organizations with representation at the United Nations dedicated to:promoting the human rights of the girl child in all areas and stages of her life,advancing the inclusion and status of girls, andassisting them to develop their full potential as women.

<h2>Virtual <strong>Girls Speak Out at the United Nations! </strong></h2><h2><strong>                          Celebrating IDG 2023</strong></h2><h3>Important Announcement: &quot;Due to a change in space availability, we are shifting the Girls Speak Out to <strong>Tuesday, October 10th</strong>. </h3><h3>We look forward to being able to host the event in the lead-up to International Day of the Girl and hope that you can still join us in celebrating IDG!&quot;<strong> </strong></h3><p>Join us for the tenth annual Girls Speak Out to celebrate International Day of the Girl! Together, we will take over the United Nations to celebrate girls&#x27; activism and advocacy to #InvestInGirls</p><p>Date: <strong>Tuesday, October 10</strong>, 3:00-5:00 pm ET/ 7:00-9:00pm GMT</p><p>Location: Zoom webinar</p><h3><strong>**This event is intended for ages 12 and older. </strong></h3><p> Sponsored by the Working Group on Girls and the missions of Canada, Peru, Türkiye, UN Women, UNICEF, and UNFPA.</p><p>For groups: Groups should register each attendee individually. You may register up to 20 attendees at a time. Please wait to register until you have the name and information for each person you are registering.</p><p>We will have child protection and safeguarding measures in place, and we also recommend all organizations to follow their own child safeguarding and protection measures and practices as well.</p>
