Norcross Cultural Arts and Community Center

The Norcross Cultural Arts and Community Center will continue to be the venue for a gathering of community members, content creators and vendors on Saturday, October 13, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., during &quot;A Taste of Black Gwinnett&quot; Day #1. &quot;A Taste of Black Gwinnett&quot; features Black-owned businesses with food, product and services in the area, and the 22nd Urban Mediamakers International Film Festival (UMFF). The event brings the UMFF Animation Competition, UMFF Music Video Competition, book signing with author LaTonya Black Gilliard, UMFF Writers Spotlight with live script reading of the top scripts competing, Urban Trivia Game with prizes, food sampling from the African diaspora of Gwinnett.<ul><li>UMFF Animation Series | 4:30 p.m.</li><li>UMFF Music Video Series | 5:30 p.m.</li><li>A Conversation with Carl Gilliard, Acting Coach, Actor, Director, Producer | Limited space. | 5:00 - 6:00 p.m.</li><li>Author Spotlight and Book Signing: &quot;I Apologize to My Thyroid&quot; writtten by LaTonya Black Gilliard | 7:00 – 7:45 p.m.</li><li>UMFF 2023 Writers Spotlight, Top 10 Announcement and Actor Showcase | 8:00 – 9:00 p.m.</li><li>Urban Trivia Game with prizes | 9:30-10:30 p.m.</li></ul>E﻿XHIBITORS (Vendors will be added as they come on board.)
