CatchLight is a visual-first media organization that leverages the power of visual storytelling to inform, connect, and transform communities. They bring resources and organizations together to discover, develop, and amplify visual storytellers at all levels. The organization invests in the future of visual storytelling through two fellowship programs. TheCatchLight LocalFellowship seeks to establish the long-term sustainability of visual journalism by pairing partner newsrooms with community-based visual journalists, Local Fellows, to provide inclusive, in-depth, accurate, and locally contextualized information to the public. TheCatchLight GlobalFellowship annually provides three visionaries in the field grants to develop long-form storytelling projects, engage audiences, and continue their work as innovators and leaders defining the future of the field.

<h1>Night of PhotoJournalism</h1><p></p><p><a href="https://fondationcarmignac.com" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"><strong>Fondation Carmignac</strong></a>, <a href="https://www.catchlight.io" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"><strong>CatchLight</strong></a>, and <a href="https://www.dysturb.com" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"><strong>Dysturb</strong></a> present the first edition of <strong>Night of Photojournalism</strong>, a public event that will celebrate innovation in visual journalism as part of <a href="http://www.photosaintgermain.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"><strong>PhotoSaintGermain</strong></a>festival. </p><p>Bringing together over a hundred photographers, journalists, photo editors, visual organizations, collectives, and digital content creators, the Night of Photojournalism will feature panels on AI in photojournalism, cultural biases, the female gaze, global movements, and geopolitics, followed by projections, a live DJ set and a pop-up cafe by Refugee Food.</p><p>This in-person event will take place at the <strong>Amphithéâtre Saint Côme</strong>, located on <strong>5 Rue de l&#x27;École de Médecine</strong> in the heart of <strong>Paris, France</strong>.</p><p>Translation to English and French will be available for the conversations and projections. </p><p><strong>Entrance to the venue is free with RSVP on Eventbrite and on a first-come, first-served basis.</strong></p>

Moderated by Jonas Cuénin.</li></ul><ul><li><strong>3﻿:30 PM: </strong>Cultural Lenses and Biases” Panel Discussion with Dr. Mame Fatou-Niang and Bayeté Ross Smith. Moderated by Paul David Henderson. </li></ul><ul><li><strong>4:30 PM: </strong>&quot;Female Gaze and Representation in Photojournalism&quot; Panel Discussion with Alona Pardo and Laura Lafon. Moderated by Samuel Kirszenbaum.</li></ul><ul><li><strong>5:30 PM: </strong>&quot;Global Movements&quot; Panel Discussion with César Dezfuli, Roopa Gogineni and Agnes Dherbeys. <h2>P﻿op-Up Cafe by Refugee Food</h2><h3>A space for exchange, food, and drinks. </h3><p>From the launch of the program to the end of the night, the <a href="https://refugee-food.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"><strong>Refugee Food Association</strong></a> will take over the adjacent amphitheater, creating a space for exchange, food, and drinks. In the evening, the space will host DJ sets and night-time projections.</p>

<p></p><h2>P﻿rojections</h2><h3>Bringing together photographers, journalists, photo editors, collectives, and digital content creators, the Night of Photojournalism will create an effervescent exchange hub as photography takes over the city of Paris. ﻿</h3>

The Fondation Carmignac was founded in 2000 by Edouard Carmignac, a French entrepreneur, CEO and Chairman of asset management company Carmignac. It is structured around three main pillars: the Carmignac Collection of contemporary art, the Villa Carmignac, an art venue on Porquerolles Island that hosts temporary exhibitions, and the Carmignac Photojournalism Award which was created in 2009 to support photographers in the field.
Every year, the Carmignac Photojournalism Award funds the production of an investigative photo reportage on human rights violations and geo-strategic issues in the world. It provides the laureates with human and financial resources to carry out their project and produces both a monograph and a traveling exhibition.<h3></h3><h3>Dysturb | www.dysturb.com</h3>
Dysturb is a creative agency and media organization that harnesses the power of storytelling and authenticity to create impactful campaigns in public spaces, schools, and on social media, promoting a fairer and more sustainable society. With a background in covering conflicts and humanitarian crises for over 15 years, photojournalists Pierre Terdjman and Benjamin Petit founded Dysturb to raise awareness, foster meaningful discussions, and challenge stereotypes.<p></p>
