True Story Theateris a nonprofit improv theater company.   Our mission is to promote social healing through theatre by building empathy, respect, and understanding in the honoring of true stories.Come to a performance: A few volunteers from the audience share what’s important to them related to the theme of the show. Actors listen deeply then spontaneously transform the stories into theater, portraying the heart of what they heard using dialogue, movement, music and song.  From this simple interaction, people laugh, cry and experience surprising insights.Try a drop-in c﻿lass: Anyone interested is welcome--no theatre experience necessary.  Come and have fun and share stories with other playful people.H﻿ire us to perform for your group or family for a special event.

So come join us for an afternoon of listening, learning, laughter, and tears, and witness the magic of True Story Theater for yourself. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Do I have to tell a story? No, sharing your story is entirely optional. We&#x27;ll have time for just a handful of people to share and see their story performed. It&#x27;s totally okay to just watch. Where is it? The event is held at the Common Street Spiritual Center in Natick, MA -a beautiful space for an event like this. What time is it? We start at 3 PM and go until 4:30 PM. Please arrive early so you have time to settle in and meet other audience members. Is there a cost? We&#x27;ve kept the cost as low as possible in order to make it affordable for everyone. $15 for adults and $10 for children under 12 in advance on Eventbrite, or $20 for adults and $15 for children under 12 at the door. Can anyone attend? Yes. this event is open to the public, and all are welcome (including children). And no one is turned away for lack of funds. Get your ticket now, and we&#x27;ll see you there!

COVID-19 Safety MeasuresEvent will be indoors. We are not requiring masks. Please feel free to wear a mask if you wish, though. The performance space is quite large, with plenty of room for social distancing if needed.

At a True Story show, you will have the opportunity to engage with your own experiences and share them if you feel called to do so. Our actors create a reflective mirror for you to view your own experiences in a new light. We encourage people from diverse backgrounds and perspectives to share their stories. We all need to be reminded that our lives have value, meaning and purpose, and we are capable of amazing things. Your story could be just the one someone else needs to hear. We look forward to sharing this incredible journey with you.
