Harvest Festival

Bring your friends and family to the Ocean View Growing Grounds to celebrate 2023's harvest!

We will have games, herbs & greens, free pumpkin decorating, arts & crafts, seed giveaway, scavenger hunt & prizes!

Ask a grower – This is a fantastic opportunity to bring all your growing-related questions! Our Urban Agriculture Specialist will gladly answer your gardening inquiries.

You will have the opportunity to talk to members from the following organizations!

• Wild Ones: A national organization with a local chapter here in San Diego dedicated to encouraging community efforts to plant native flora that support native fauna.
• SD Audubon Society: A chapter from the National Audubon Society dedicated to protecting and appreciating our local wildlife and their habitats.
• Family Health Center: dedicated to providing caring, affordable, high-quality health care and supportive services to everyone, with a special commitment to uninsured, low-income and medically underserved persons
• Inner City Athletic Program: They provide free athletic instruction, health and nutritional educational classes and positive youth development in schools, various recreational locations, and special events.
• Young Environmental Justice Advocates Academy: This academy creates a pipeline that trains and activates Youth of Color as activists and leaders in the Environmental Justice Movement in San Diego.

Parking will be in a residential area (see image - avoid red highlighted area) - to avoid any altercations with neighbors, do not park on or overlap with: Driveways, Redlines, Blue curbs In front of the following addresses: 512 West St.; 4527 Ocean View Blvd, West St. (corner house w/ faded blue curb); 4580 Ocean View Blvd (illegal driveway). When in doubt, we encourage you to park elsewhere. PLEASE DO NOT BLOCK DRIVEWAYS!
