Crosstober: Take a guided walk on the SF Crosstown Trail this October!

Sunrise Point Fishing Pier, Candlestick Point State Recreation Area

This walk is designed for those who want to walk the entire <a href="https://crosstowntrail.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Crosstown Trail</a> in two steps. The Initial Step, along Sections 1 and 2, is on October 7 and The Final Step, along Sections 3, 4 and 5, will be on October 21. This page signs you up for &quot;Step 1&quot; on October 7. The walk of about 8 ½ miles will begin at 9 a.m. at Sunrise Point in the Candlestick Point State Recreation Area and will end around 2:30 p.m. at the plaza in front of the Forest Hill MUNI Station. Note that there are frequent light rail departures at Forest Hill Connecting to other MUNI lines and BART. Come with a sack lunch. Getting to the starting location at Sunrise Point in Candlestick Park:<ul><li>Transit: You can take Caltrain to Bayshore Station or the MUNI’s T to Arleta Station. In either case, it will take about 30 minutes to walk to Sunrise Point. </li><li>Car: You can park in, or get dropped off at, the parking lot at the entrance of the Candlestick Point State Recreation Area at 500 Hunters Point Expressway. From there, it will take about 15 minutes to walk to Sunrise Point.</li><li>The only street that leads to the park entrance at Hunters Point Expressway is Gilman Avenue (the street is closed coming from Haney Way, though pedestrians can access from this side).</li></ul>S﻿ign up for &quot;Step 2&quot; on October 21 <a href="https://www.eventbrite.com/e/the-final-step-of-crosstown-trail-divided-by-two-tickets-715136371137" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">here</a>.Space is limited.
