Everyone remembers how television used to hit differently, even more fun and special when you were a kid and could stay up late. Now, during record heat waves staying in and binging your favorite show. Take a break from sweltering temps and get some laughs with VRTC as we spoof some of our favorite television shows: Little House on the Prairie, The Brady Bunch and Schitt's Creek. It's guaranteed to be a night of nostalgia and laughs. Tickets are $10! Grab one now and we'll catch you at 8:30pm EST (5:30pm PST) on Saturday, July 20! It seems like the world is going completely off the rails. Political tensions are at an all-time high, temperatures are breaking record highs again and again, COVID cases are on the rise... Keeping a finger on the pulse of the modern world has never felt so exhausting. But what if we told you that for one night and one night only, you can leave your worries at the door and sit down to send-ups celebrating some of the best sitcoms of now and yesteryear? VRTC is proud to present its Summer Sitcom Night! For the price of one ticket, you will get to experience three "episodes" of show parodies: * THE HOME ON HAPPY HILLLove, romance and meddling are all on full display as the Hollace family shows how cozy and collective life was at the start of the 20th century. * THE BAILEY CLUMPTwo families have come together to make a whole new unit. But what happens when their maid feels a little left behind? * LILIE$ PONDThe Asters have found their footing in the small town they own after losing their millions. But will all their progress come crashing back down when a famous critic comes to review the motel they call home? Come enjoy a night celebrating the best of television with VRTC's Summer Sitcom Night! Live virtual theatre is an amazing way to experience the arts. Is it impossible to attend physical venues for any reason? You are no longer barred from experiencing great theatre because of geography or disability! Are you traveling or busy during showtime and may not be able to sit in a crowded audience for who knows how long? You can bring your phone, laptop or other device and catch the show no matter where you are! Worried about inclement weather canceling a performance? You can avoid the roads and parking lots, and still get the full experience! Feeling under the weather or concerned about staying healthy? Our shows let you take in the magic of live performance while keeping healthy in your own home! And even if you are unable to attend any of these performances live, you can still watch the show with the Friends and Family Plan! Just purchase a ticket for any performance and send a DM to the Virtual Repertory Theatre Collective Facebook page saying "I want to use the friends and family option." You will receive a link to watch a recording of the show after the run has concluded. Virtual theatre is the future of the arts - so come be a part of the revolution today! We are a fully virtual, bicoastal theatre company with international patronage. We exist to provide a safe place for all performers to work, to empower actors with creative input and to use new technology tools to deliver art to the people. We are passionate about challenging the status quo for what it means to be a theatre, how actors choose their work and what theatre in the 21st century looks like. And we strive to present a viewpoint in our work that empowers and invigorates those who feel voiceless or unheard.
