Claudio, Benedick and Princess Petra drop into Messina to chill during the holiday break. Leonata gives them a hearty “wassup?!” as she invites them to crash at her crib along their potential boos. But haters gonna hate, and Princess Jane is determined to be a Grade-A buzzkill. Will the crew find this to be the most wonderful time of the year, or will Jane’s schemes make for a silent night for the lovers? Celebrate a festive reimagining of the Shakespearean standard with VRTC’s holiday-inspired Much Ado About Nothing! Performances will run on December 2nd, 3rd, 9th and 10th. Join us for VRTC’s holiday-themed Much Ado About Nothing! It features performances by Kari Kitts, Mitch Macdonald, Toni Young, Karla Wren, Ryan Vaughan, Tricia Pisarra, Nicki Barnes, Rachel Rhodes, Gene Strohl, and Hillary Steen. Performances are: Saturday, December 2nd at 8:30pm EST/5:30pm PST; Sunday, December 3rd at 4:00pm EST/1:00pm PST; Saturday, December 9th at 8:30pm EST/5:30pm PST; and Sunday, December 10th at 4:00pm EST/1:00pm PST. Tickets are available for all performances and cost $10 on sale online at the Eventbrite page at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/713028065137/. If you are unable to attend any of these performances, you can still watch the show. If you wish to use the Friends and Family Plan, just purchase a ticket for any performance and send a DM to the Virtual Repertory Theatre Collective Facebook page saying "I want to use the friends and family option." The Virtual Repertory Theatre Collective was founded on December 29, 2020. We are a fully virtual, bicoastal theatre company. We exist to provide a safe place for performers to work, to empower actors with creative input and to use new technology tools to deliver art to the people. We are interested in challenging the status quo for what it means to be a theatre, how actors choose their work and what theatre in the 21st century looks like.
