Make your own copper wire-wrapped pendant with Westhampton artist, Linda Carrier.

<h3><strong>Make your own piece of one of a kind wearable art jewelry!</strong>

</h3><h3>Join Linda Carrier at the Mill District Local Art Gallery on Sunday, September 10 from 12 - 3pm, for a fun afternoon making intricate copper wire wrapped pendants. Each participant will be guided through creating one pendant. Participants will be provided a choice of stone, copper wire, use of tools, and a necklace cord for their finished creation. During the class Linda will discuss the tools being used, the crystals and stones participants are working with, and will provide step by step guidance and support so that you can create your new sparkly wire wrapped pendant!

</h3><h3>Ages 16+ due to use of sharp tools. Only 8 spots available.</h3><h3>For those that would like to have their own tools, Linda has curated a collection of what will be needed for the class. </h3><h3>Westhampton, MA
</h3><h3>A lifelong resident of the Western Mass hill towns, Linda has always found inspiration for creative outlet from the beauty of the natural world. Always intrigued by the beauty and individuality of stones, integrating them into her art developed naturally. 
</h3><h3>Linda is a self-taught wire wrap artist. Her style of wrapping was developed while she was the caretaker for her husband during his battle with pancreatic cancer. Requiring 24-hour supervision, she would stay up nights practicing her art. In the morning she would share her new creations with him. Although he has passed, she continues to work at night. Describing her art as a form of meditation, it provided her with a peaceful space during her own fight with breast cancer.
</h3><h3>Each of the pieces in Linda’s collection of wearable art jewelry is one of a kind. Describing her process as a collaboration with the stones, her pieces have an organic feel. All the stones and crystals in Linda’s work are ethically sourced. She personally selects each one, seeking to find materials that have visual interest and that she connects to energetically. She uses copper and fine metals in her work; and infuses each with energy meant to serve the highest good of those that wear it.
