CURRENT:LA FOODpresents new, temporary public art projects by 15 national and international artists and teams of artists who have taken on the global issue of food to highlight and encourage the discussion of topics such as: eliminating food deserts, supporting urban agriculture, improving food distribution systems, and strengthening food equity.Commissioning art installations, performances, and events in public parks,CURRENT:LA FOODaims to engage visitors in discussions about topics and issues that affect Los Angeles residents as well as the broader global community through the context of art and artmaking.

ABOUT THE EVENT
Take part in a dinner cohosted by Miry's List. Dates harvested at Aziz Farms in Thermal, California, by members of the Iraqi diaspora, About Face, and the studio of CURRENT artist Michael Rakowitz are highlighted in the meal prepared and shared at this Beneath the Date Palms event. Capacity is limited to 50; RSVP preferred, space given on a first-come, first-served basis.

Parking is located within the park off Beverly Blvd. Please consider taking public transit, carpooling, or ridesharing when possible. 
RSVP
RSVP is preferred. Please present your Eventbrite RSVP (either paper or digital) upon arrival.

All artworks are outside! Please dress appropriately, bring shade or sunscreen, a bottle of water, and comfortable shoes.
