We seek to bring Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) to life in our community by providing engaging, hands-on, and on-site learning experiences to our community.Insights Science discovery, formerly known as Insights El Paso Science Center Inc. was founded in 1980. It is a private, not-for-profit organization with a mission of promoting science education through exploratory, interactive learning experiences for people of all ages. Build and launch your very own model rocket during the final event of our 2023 #EPSpaceFestival

El Paso Radio Controllers Patriot Field

Launch YOUR rockets at the final event of the annual El Paso Space Festival. You'll have a blast!Join us Saturday, September 30th to close out the 2023 El Paso Space Festival with a massive rocket launch. This event will also offer have hands-on rocketry activities, prizes , food, local rocket clubs displaying their BIG rockets. This event is co-sponsored by El Paso Radio Controllers. This year we welcome Spaceport America and the Space Cup!The $10.00 ticket includes a rocket, rocket decorations (available during the Festival Launch "Festiversary!" Space Extravaganza!), and a launch window. STEM clubs, hobby groups, and other rocketeers are welcome to bring their own rockets with prior authorization. Registration Steps:<ol><li>Purchase a ticket for your launch window</li><li>Pickup model rocket kit at the "Festiversary!" Space Extravaganza! or from the address below</li><li>Assemble your rocket at the "Festiversary!" Space Extravaganza!" event or with your own club, family or friends</li><li>Arrive at least 30 minutes before your launch window</li><li>Come to the rocket launch day to launch your rocket!</li><li>Individuals or groups bring their own rockets: PLEASE contact RocketDayEP@gmail.com to register.</li></ol>

Rocket Pick Up: We highly recommend picking up your rocket at least 2 days prior to the event to have enough time for assembly. For safety, the rocket engine will be installed/provided at the launch site. Your rocket can be picked up at:<ol><li>BEST OPTION - Scout Shop at Yucca Council, BSA (7601 Lockheed Dr. El Paso, TX 79925) - Rockets can be picked up Monday-Friday 9:30am – 5:30pm, Saturday 9:00am – 1:00pm starting 8/28/2023. Sunday &amp; Friday CLOSED</li><li><a href="https://www.insightselpaso.org/spaceextravaganza23" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Festiversay! Space Extravaganza</a> (Friday, September 22nd, 6:00pm-9:00PM) at the El Paso Airport Rockets will be available for pickup and purchase in the Rocket Zone of this event.
