Where past meets present!King Manor Museum is the historic home of founding father, Rufus King, diplomat and framer of the United States Constitution. Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974, King Manor continues to host numerous seasonal festivals, family programs and classical music concerts year round. ¡Feliz Cinco de Mayo! ¡Haz tu propia piñata única!Sebastián, un artista local e inmigrante reciente de México, nos enseñará a hacer piñatas y nos hablará sobre la historia del Cinco de Mayo. Sebastián también hablará sobre cómo se entiende la festividad en México y Estados Unidos.Quédese hasta el final del evento cuando tendremos una presentación especial y una lección de baile de Mazarte Dance Company! Tambien probaremos comida de Bella's Place, un restaurante mexicano local.-----Sebastian, a local artist and recent immigrant from Mexico, will teach a piñata making workshop and talk about the historic significance of Cinco de Mayo. Sebastian will also discuss his experiences between how the holiday is understood in Mexico and in the United States. Stop by and make your own unique piñata!Stay for the end of the event when we will have a special performance and lesson from Mazarte Dance Company and food from Bella’s Place, a local Mexican restaurant.
