What should I expect to do if I attend this event?

Accepted Answer

The goal of this event is to connect designers and share methodologies that are useful within our practice.This event has activities that will require collaboration within small groups, and presenting to the audience (if you're at all interested!).

Question 2

I'm not into public speaking in front of people I'm not familiar with. Should I still attend?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! Please come! No one will be forced to present their ideas in front of the audience if they are not comfortable. Prompts and discussions will only be the first half of the evening, the second half of the evening will be dedicated to open discussion in closed groups.

What should I bring to this event?

Accepted Answer

Aside from a beverage of choice, feel free to bring any materials you have found useful within your design practice. Laptops, tablets, sketchbooks, spreadsheets, Notion pages... if you have a method that has been helpful in your work, you're welcome to share. Sticky notes and pens will be provided!

Question 4

I'm most passionate about front-end development. Should I still attend?

Accepted Answer

Yes. While this event is hosted by a UX Designer, and will likely center around topics of user experience and design, you are of course still welcome to come. You'll bring an interesting perspective to discussions, and we hope that you'll feel empowered to be curious and ask questions.
