The public comment process is a key component in how government administrators turn broad legislative directives into actual policy, often at the federal level, but also sometimes at the state and local level. The process may appear daunting, but it is an important way for community organizations to make their voices heard and influence things like how funding is distributed and how rules are enforced. With federal and state dollars set to support the Broadband Equity Access and Deployment Program (BEAD) and the Digital Equity Act (DEA), now is a great time for digital inclusion practitioners and stakeholders to learn more about how public comments work.This educational webinar will provide an overview on the public comment process, including the federal perspective on what comments are, how they are submitted and how formal/informal comments can be.
