Second Saturday Wake and Johnston County is a free online divorce workshop for people in North Carolina who are considering separation, preparing for divorce, navigating custody concerns, or adjusting to life during or after divorce.
Divorce and separation can raise many questions about children, finances, the home, legal rights, support, and what to expect next. This monthly workshop provides education from professionals who regularly support individuals and families through these transitions.
During the workshop, attendees will hear from professionals in three key areas:
Emotional Support
Learn about the emotional impact of separation and divorce, coping strategies, communication challenges, and ways to support yourself and your family during this transition.
Financial Support
Learn about common financial issues that may come up during separation and divorce, including budgeting, property, debt, support questions, and planning for the future.
Legal Education
Learn general information about divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, equitable distribution, and the legal process in North Carolina.
This workshop is held online by Zoom. Cameras are not required, and attendees may submit questions through the chat.
