PFFASC 2023 ConventionYou are hereby welcomed to the 2023 PFFASC Convention to be held in Spartanburg at the AC Hotel Marriott on October 8th-10th 2023. Event Registration: All members who wish to attend must register through this online event registration. Registration for each Delegate or Guest will be paid online here by credit/debit card through a personal donation to the SC Professional FirePac. For each registration, please make sure to include the names as you would like to have them appear on name tags.You may choose to register in one of the following ways:<ol><li>Each member may register with a personal donation to the SC FIREPAC of $100.00 or $50.00. </li><li>The $100 price will include registration, PFFASC lapel pin, and a signed copy of Last Alarm, The Charleston 9, by Thomas A. Woodley.</li><li>The $50 price will include registration. </li><li>Please click the REGISTER button above to register and pay via personal debit/credit card.</li></ol>Hotel Reservations: This year, PFFASC will be providing one (1) room for each local. The Secretary’s office will be booking these rooms once your convention registration is complete. The deadline for getting a local's free room is 9/7/2023.For additional room reservations please contact AC Hotel Marriott in Spartanburg. Call the hotel directly at 864-585-8900 and mention PFFASC at the time of booking for the group rate. Please note, the group rate will end on 9/7/2023.Representation: The PFFASC Constitution limits voting delegates to the following:Membership of Local Number of Delegates0-75 	 	 	 	 276-150	 	 	 3151+ bnm 4Local representation at conventions shall be based upon per capita dues paid and/or granted exonerations for the first twelve (12) months of the fourteen (14) month period immediately preceding the month in which the convention is called. Delegates vote for PFFASC Board Positions and Resolutions. To cast a vote a delegate must be present in person, no votes shall be counted by proxy. The President of the Association shall have one vote in Convention to be exercised only in the event of a tie vote. The PFFASC does not allow block voting.Resolutions: The PFFASC Constitution and By-Laws require that all prefiled resolutions be received by the Secretary at least thirty (30) days prior to the opening of the Convention. Any late resolutions submitted to my office after the deadline of September 8th 2023. Resolutions shall require two-thirds (2/3) of delegates present voting at Convention for adoption.Per Capita: Locals to be entitled to representation in Convention shall have all per capita dues paid to the PFFASC, by the start of convention business. All per capita owed must be paid current prior to having a Local’s Delegates seated.
