Hi. I'm Evelyn, owner of Jaida's Hopechest. Jaida's Hopechest is a Craft and Craft Show business. I aim to provide quality craft shows with affordable prices.Jaidas’ Hopechestgrew in concept in the late 1970’s with collectibles, lacey crafts, needlework and ceramics.  Pottery was added in the late 80’s to mid 90’s.  I avidly support the Trash vs.Treasures Philosophy.  Upcycled art items began to emerge from recycling projects and studies as I learned more about environmental consciousness.   “Useful, with an artistic flair”, that is howJaida’s Hopechest’shandmade items  are described.  The goal is to provide a pop up marketplace for local artists, crafters, and bakers to share their talents with residents.  The gathering helps to build a knowledge base and consumer awareness of local talent that is beneficial to local business owners as well.Jaida's Hopechestcontinues to grow in the new millenium.  The PopUp Store and Activitiy Center now includes STEM activities and demos.  I am currently working on a plan to include the Kidde Ride Park in the PopUp location. The Kidde Ride Park Project is a family oriented recycling awarness and wholistic early child development  (learn and play) center.I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology, Completed courses for a Master in Education, concentrating on Mild to Moderate Disabilities, and a self titled "Honorary Degree" in Arts and Crafts.  I've taken courses in pottery, art history, history of american furniture, fabrics and fibers, horticulture, needle art and, the integration of art and technology.  My favorite way to learn art techniques is to be hands on and to explore the medium.My future goals forJaida's Hopechestinclude: obtaining a certificate with the Rutgers Master Gardeners Program, increasing the profits from my Craft Fairs to be able to support local charity groups that aide the community in my special interest areas: children's empowerment, early age entrepeneur development, adolescent community mindfulness and self development, veterans and their families, and families dealing with a long term illness.

W﻿hat to expect at this event:V﻿IP GUESTS<ul><li>W﻿ith a purchased ticket, VIP Guests will have a reserved seat under the Event Tent where they will receive a tasting platter with various Black Eye Pea Dishes and chilled water to clear the palate.</li><li> Each VIP Guest will also receive a signed book and have the guaranteed opportunity to take a digital photo with the author. </li><li>S﻿pecial prize tickets accompany each reserved seat and the chance to win is only offered to VIP Guests.</li><li>VIP Guest seating offers a good view of entertainment.</li></ul>A﻿ll GUESTS<ul><li>Carefully curated vendors add a special touch to this socially friendly event.</li><li>Comedic, Romantic and, Professional Photo Props will be open for selfies. </li></ul>SPECIAL NOTE<ul><li>Keith Broadway, owner of The Urban Marketplace, looks forward to welcoming all guests for a tour of the retail store, fitness area and, wellness center.</li><li> Various smoothies and other grill delights will be available at the HomecooKin&#x27; Southern Kitchen, located inside the Cafe Area.
