Please join our small group as we check the beaches on Drayton Harbor and Semiahmoo Bay, the only designated Important Bird Area in Whatcom County, to locate and observe resident birds and early migrants.Expect to see gulls, cormorants, great blue herons, bald eagles, a few loons and grebes, ducks and other waterfowl, hopefully a few shorebirds, as well as songbirds. This is an excellent, relaxed field trip for beginning birders but appropriate for all skill levels.
