The Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Art (MoCADA) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that celebrates the cultural breadth of Africa and its diaspora through a diverse range of exhibitions, public art, interactive learning, media, performances, music, and community-based interventions. A s Brooklyn's first and only museum dedicated to the creation and interpretation of contemporary Black arts and culture, over the last 25 years MoCADA has grown from a grassroots organization into an internationally-recognized vehicle for social change. More than a museum, we are an arts incubator and a community bridge that transforms people and places near and far.

The KIDflix Film Fest of Bed-Stuy!, the longest-running kids’ film festival in Brooklyn, is back for its 23rd season!Presented by MoCADA since 2000, this annual, interactive, summer program offers kids and their families access to a free, outdoor film screening every Friday night in the month of August.Inspired by the theme Remixed, which spotlights stories that uplift youth agency/autonomy, healthy familial relationships (chosen or biological), and cultural exchange, the 2023 season of the festival will run from August 18 – September 1, 2023, with a free, a costume party and community screening of The Wiz at Herbert Von King Park in Brooklyn.J﻿oin us!
