Join us for Essential GMPs for Herbal Practitioners on Thurs Nov 9th, 2023 at 6:00 PM PDT (Pacific Daylight Time). This in-person event will take place at 5005 S. Macadam Avenue, Portland, OR 97239.This class is on-campus in Portland, Oregon.This 90-minute practical GMP workshop provides herbal practitioners with essential GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and production best practices. Implementing an effective GMP framework not only ensures compliance for herbal practitioners, but also gives practitioners an opportunity to highlight the integrity and quality of their products in a competitive market. This workshop will demonstrate the importance of accurate record keeping and good faith effort towards compliance for industry standards. How to use GMPs to improve the integrity and quality of products and educate clients will also be covered. Glen Nagel is a practicing herbalist, licensed Naturopathic physician, and all around herbal wise guy. Glen is excited to be back in herbal education as the Herbal Medicine Program Chair at American College of Healthcare Sciences. Glen’s training as an herbalist began in the early 1980’s as one of the first herbal apprentices with “Herbal Ed” Smith and Sara Katz, Herb Pharm co-founders. Glen also studied with seaweed expert Ryan Drum, Ph. D and Portland’s wise woman Cascade Anderson Geller.
