The Glad Foundation presents Summer Events for Music and Mending! All Ages and Abilities welcome. Happening at The Glad Cafe and Glad Rags.

Are your clothes in need of a little TLC? Perhaps you have a beloved shirt that's wearing a bit thin at the elbows, or a pair of jeans that fit just right, but are letting in a bit too much breeze on the knees? If so, this workshop is what you’ve been waiting for!Join us on for the second Glad Day for a crafty mending session with Faith Eliott (they/them), a textile artist and maker based in Glasgow's Southside.In this workshop, you'll be led through how to mend, upcycle and embellish garments using Sashiko &amp; Patching techniques. In addition, you'll learn some basic embroidery stitches, with the option of trying some more complex ones if you feel confident to do so.You are more than welcome to bring something of your own to mend or upcycle! However, if you don't have something in particular, don't worry, there will be lots of fabrics available to play around with.Tickets are ‘Pay what you can’ and 100% will go towards the Glad Foundations program of free and affordable music workshops for our local community.
