Sunset Yoga at Freshkills Park

At 2,200 acres, Freshkills Park will be almost three times the size of Central Park and the largest park developed in New York City in over 100 years. Free tours offer insights into ongoing development and unmatched views, and recreational programs provide opportunities to experience the hills and waterways before the park officially opens.

Please bring your own mat or towel.D﻿onation: There is a $10 suggested donation per participant for this program. Your support allows us to increase access and education at Freshkills Park.Where: We will meet at `141 E Service Rd. in Staten Island (Showplace Parking Lot, in front of the old LA Fitness). From here, we will caravan into the park. Please arrive on time; if you are more than 10 minutes late, the caravan may leave without you and you may be unable to participate. Please note, everyone needs to enter and exit the park together. Bring: Bring a mat or towel, water, and a snack. Wear comfortable clothes and sunblock. Be “tick aware” and &quot;heat aware&quot;. Waivers: All participants will be asked to sign a waiver. Those under 18 need to have the waiver signed by a parent or guardian.Weather: This program will be canceled or postponed in case of heavy rain, in which case we will make a determination 24 hours before the event.
