Join us for this mosaic art workshop making hexagons of beads and natural materials, led by artist Sunday Olaniyi. Ages 13 and up.

J﻿oin master artist Sunday Olaniyi to create your own beautiful works of hexagonal art with beads and natural materials to honor the Hexagon Project&#x27;s 2023 Environmental Justice theme. A﻿ll materials will be supplied to you. Artist&#x27;s Bio:Sunday Olaniyi, a Nigerian-born artist now residing in the United States, creates captivating bead artworks that bridge tradition and contemporary aesthetics. Inspired by the Yoruba culture and African proverbs, Olaniyi&#x27;s medium of choice is beads on board, allowing him to express his inner feelings and capture the essence of his artistic vision.

With a background rooted in recycled art, where he transformed discarded materials into treasured creations, Olaniyi&#x27;s journey led him to discover the allure of beads as a medium of expression. His art speaks to the power of imagination and encourages viewers to tap into their true selves, transcending existing boundaries.

Sunday Olaniyi teaches classes and workshops in elementary, high school, tertiary institutions and in communities across the globe.
