Growing from singer Theo Hilton's earlier solo music, the band played its first show in 2007 and released its first album, Love It, Love It, in 2008. The group now has three studio albums, including 2009's Ruth and 2017 release Ursa Minor. Over the last decade, the band's lyrical content has shifted to more explicitly focus on queer experiences and intersections of broad political dynamics and day-to-day life. In addition to Hilton, the band currently consists of Robbee Cuchiarro, Jared Gandy, and Robbee Cucchiaro.LEE BAINS III &amp; THE GLORY FIRESBirmingham, ALLee Bains III &amp; the Glory Fires are an Alabama-based rock band whose music is informed by the swagger of classic Southern rock, the energy and attitude of punk, the intelligence and personal lyrical stance of indie rock, and the deep grooves of R&amp;B. The group's muscular, hard-hitting approach suggested a beefed-up variation on roots rock on their first album, 2012's There Is a Bomb in Gilead, but they turned up the guitars and sounded rougher and more raw on 2014's Dereconstructed. Bains and his band added a stronger sociopolitical stripe to their lyrics (as well as more experimental structures) on 2017's Youth Detention without sapping their rock &amp; roll strength, and their fiery on-stage assault was documented on 2019's Live at the Nick.FAIL SONSWashington, DChttps://failsonsdc.bandcamp.com/releases
