The Center for Arts at the Armory is a non-profit organization that resides in a historic Armory building, serving Somerville and the Greater Boston community and beyond as an accessible and inclusive venue for the arts, cultural and community events, exhibitions, markets, classes and more.The mission of Arts at the Armory is to provide an inclusive and accessible venue that creates opportunities for artists and cultural workers, brings diverse audiences together, enriches and transforms lives, and promotes the creative economy. In addition to the many events that CAA hosts that are produced independently of CAA, CAA has five signature programs: The Spotlight Series, The Performance Opportunity Program (POP), The Somerville Winter Farmers Market, The ROOTED Armory Cafe Event Series, and ROOTED Armory Cafe Visual Arts Exhibitions. CAA curates and produces performances in the Armory Performance Hall featuring local and touring artists as part of our Spotlight Series.

Sound Machine is a new electric jazz fusion group formed by Eric Smith. The band performs original, exploratory compositions with an emphasis on soundscapes and improvisation.This show is the result of several years of compositions written during times when live performance was less possible. Eric Smith is a trumpet player from the New England area. Since 2017, Eric has performed in the Boston area with groups such as the Ward Eights, Uncle Brothers, the Interconnections Ensemble,and the Abletones. He has had the honor of learning from Christian Sands, Felipe Salles, Eric Berlin, Steve Davis and Delfeayo Marsalis, and the honor of providing accompaniment on stage to Chico Pinheiro, Steve Wilson and Matt Wilson. He has performed at venues such as Ryle&#x27;s, Sculler&#x27;s, The Jazz Gallery, Birdland Jazz Club and National Sawdust NYC. Willie Darling is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose musical journey has taken him all over the map.
