The Dallas Coalition for Hunger Solutions (DCHS) is a collaborative of organizations and individuals working together to reduce food insecurity and promote equitable access to healthy food for our neighbors in Dallas County.VISION: The DCHS exists to ensure all in Greater Dallas live in a community where there is sustainable and equitable access to healthy and nutritious food.MISSION: Through cross-sector collaboration, DCHS works with the community to identify challenges and solutions towards achieving equitable access to healthy and nutritious food.

DIY Portable Hand Washing Station for Gardens & Small Farms

This is a make &amp; take learning event on Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 8:30 - 11:30 AM at Seeds of Faith Community Garden. Learn how to build a portable hand washing station for your garden or small farm! Hear from food safety and sanitation experts about the latest in best practices for cultivating, harvesting and storing produce for distribution, too! Simple building materials will be provided for the first twenty garden projects that register and promptly arrive at the workshop at 8:30 AM. The first twenty to register and promptly arrive at 8:30 AM get to take home a free DIY portable handwashing station to install at your garden or small farm.Wear sunscreen, a hat, light clothing and closed shoes.
