Chamber Dance Project burst onto the Washington scene in 2014 with a critically-acclaimed season at the Kennedy Center. Founded in 2000 in New York, Chamber Dance Project has made Washington its new home, bringing together high-caliber professional ballet dancers, musicians, choreographers and composers to collaborate under the Artistic Direction of award-winning choreographer Diane Coburn Bruning. The keystones of CDP are live music, intimate performance spaces, sharing the creative process and affording hundreds of children and families access to a performance during its popular Family Matinee. Last year CDP donated over 100 tickets to area social service agencies.

Warm-up a late-fall night with a blind bourbon tasting, ballet trivia challenges and the premiere of two new films about dance, complete with a 360 virtual reality experience. An elegant Federal-era mansion—the former home of President James Monroe—provides the perfect setting to enjoy a flight of first-rate bourbons, hors-d’oeuvres, wine, and mingling with fellow Chamber Dance Project supporters and Artistic Director Diane Coburn Bruning. Learn more about bourbon from a guest expert. A Jazz pianist sets the mood with music throughout the evening. All guests must be 21 or older. General Ticket $150 ($75 is a tax-deductible donation)Premium Ticket: $200 ($100 is a tax-deductible donation)Join us at 6:15 pm for a Champagne Reception with the Artistic Director, including a private screening of our documentary short on our dancers. This event raises funds for our upcoming season.
