What is a dance show?

We have a selection of multi-cultural dance performances lined up for the beginning of our show, representing different groups that call Columbus home! We’ll experience Indian, Japanese, Swing, Salsa, and African-American dance performances. After that, the DJ will take over and everyone will dance!

Do I have to dance?

Dancing is highly encouraged after the Dance Show portion of the event! But no, you are not required to dance. If you’d rather have a drink and enjoy some music while hanging out with your friends, that’d be great!

Will there be seating at the event?

Yes, there will be 50 chairs set up for attendees. You are welcome to bring a lawn chair if you want to guarantee a seat.

Can I bring my lawn chair?

Can I bring my kid(s)?

Accepted Answer

Yes, bring them along! There will be a bar set up also selling soft drinks and water for those under 21 years old.

Where is the bar?

The bar will be set up on Washington Street, south of 4th Street.

Question 7

When does the bar open?

Accepted Answer

The dance show starts at 7:00 pm, but we’ll open the bar at 6:30 to give people a chance to grab drinks before we begin.

Will there be food available?

There won’t be food vendors on the street, but we encourage you to take advantage of the local restaurants on both 4th Street and Washington Street, or downtown.

How late will the party go?

The DJ will play until 10pm.

Where should I park?

Accepted Answer

The Jackson Street Parking Garage across from the Post Office will be the easiest place to park. Washington Street will be closed between 3rd and 5th Streets, and 4th Street will be closed between Jackson and Franklin Streets. All street parking outside of that area will be available as well.

Do I have to register for the event?

No! The event is free for all ages, and no tickets or registration are required.
